While today may be pumpkin spice and everything nice, the elves at The Barn Redefined, previously known as Poway Countryside Barn, are getting ready for the holiday season, with their popular Christmas at the Barn shopping event – this year, as a “pop-up” in Ramona, kicking off Nov. 1 and running for 25 days of Christmas (shopping!).
This year, the event expands for six weekends to “25 days of Christmas at the Barn,” but at a new temporary location, Ramona Town Hall (729 Main Street in Ramona, 92065). This year’s theme is Winter Wonderland & Small Town Christmas.
The Christmas-themed festival offers a wonderful place for holiday decorating ideas. One of the most anticipated features of the event is their themed Christmas trees. This year, they have 26, including Candy Cane Lane, Traditional Christmas, Mrs. Clause Bake Shop, Christmas at The Lodge, and Chrismukkah, to name a few.
“Christmas is our favorite season!” said Liz McNamara, who has been putting on the event with her mom, Debi McNamara. “We plan all year long for the holidays, and we work so hard to outdo ourselves each year.”
Additionally, there will be many holiday photo opportunities, throughout the venue and beyond. We will also be hosting a Christmas Market every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. right across the way in The Grange Lot (215 7th Street, Ramona, 92065); there will be crafts, gifts, food and music.
This year, they will be fundraising for the Ramona Town Hall, as the historical building needs a new roof. The event will raffle baskets of holiday themed goodies provided by The Barn Redefined and donated by other local businesses.
Adding to the festivities is a gift-wrapping station with supplies available for purchase.
The month-long shopping experience begins Saturday, Nov. 1 and runs through Sunday, Dec. 7. Open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sundays 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Closed on November 26-27 (for Thanksgiving).
“Our magnificent Christmas shopping experience continues to grow every year, with an amazing turnout, and we are happy to be able to do it again this year as a ‘pop-up’,” said McNamara. “Come enjoy the magic of Christmas where we believe in Santa, nativity scenes, and saying, ‘Merry Christmas.’”
