While today may be pumpkin spice and everything nice, the elves at The Barn Redefined, previously known as Poway Countryside Barn, are getting ready for the holiday season, with their popular Christmas at the Barn shopping event. Opening weekend is Nov. 1-3.

The Barn Redefined is excited to host another Christmas-themed festival ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ at 14051 Midland Road in Poway (92064).

A wonderful place for holiday decorating ideas; one of the most anticipated features of the event is their themed Christmas trees. This year, they have twenty-six! Themes include “Under the Stars” (camping/outdoor tree), “To All a Goodnight” (black, white, green, dark blue), “Enchanted Forest” (mossy, feathers, reds), “Classic Christmas” (red velvet, classic Santa, mistletoe), “Chrismukkah” (deep blue, gold, silver), and “Mrs. Clause’s Bake Shop (reds, light blues),” to name a few.

“Christmas is our favorite season!” said Liz McNamara, who owns the store with her mom, Debi McNamara. “We plan all year long for this event, and we work so hard to outdo ourselves each year.”

The event provides lots of holiday photo opportunities, as the exterior will be a giant gingerbread house, and a large vintage trailer will become a “Candy Shop.”

This year, they will be collecting new toys, arts & crafts and hygiene products for kids of all ages for Anvil of Hope, a non-profit focused on helping low-income families, those facing homelessness and temporary hardship. Everyone who donates will receive a paper gingerbread man with their name on it to hang on a dedicated wall.

New this year is a gift-wrapping section with supplies available for purchase.

The event has become so popular that a third weekend has been added. The three weekends of events start Friday, Nov. 1 and run through Sunday, Nov. 17; open 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, and Sundays, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“Our Christmas open house has been such a magnificent shopping experience for many years, with an amazing turnout and we are excited to be able to do it again,” said McNamara. “Come enjoy the magic of Christmas where we believe in Santa, nativity scenes, and saying, ‘Merry Christmas.’”
