Clearity – a San Diego-based national ovarian cancer nonprofit organization – is accepting nominations for its “Who’s Your Teal Woman?” recognition program.

A Teal Woman is every woman who has faced ovarian cancer – survivors, women undergoing treatment, women in recurrence, and women we have lost. Clearity’s “Who’s Your Teal Woman?” recognition program highlights women wherever they are on their journey, helping them to be seen when they can often feel lost in a “sea of pink” resulting from the greater awareness of other gynecologic cancers, like breast cancer.

All Teal Women will be honored and celebrated throughout the year on Clearity’s Teal Woman Honorees and Memorial Tributes website, social media, as well as during the Teal Women celebrations in September, Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month – in person on Sunday, Sept. 18 at the Grand Del Mar, and again during a free, online event, the “Who’s Your Teal Woman?” Celebration, on Thursday, Sept. 22.

Clearity’s goal is to recognize 500 Teal Women Honorees, including one from each state. The online nomination process is simple and self-nominations are encouraged. The nomination process also invites nominators to share a story or quote. To submit, visit here at https://www.clearityfoundation.org/wytw/.

Founded in 2008, Clearity is revolutionizing the ovarian cancer experience one person at a time. Every ovarian cancer patient experience is unique.  That’s why Clearity meets each person where they are, in one-on-one supportive conversations with customized information and resources to help them better understand and manage their unique diagnosis and life situation.

All Clearity programs are offered free of charge, thanks to the generosity of many San Diego-based supporters, including the County of San Diego, The Conrad Prebys Foundation, Illumina, Mersana Therapeutics, Inc. and countless individuals nationwide.
