The event schedule will provide a full lineup of entertainment, featuring speakers, cooking demonstrations and live music, as well as kid-friendly games.

An international food court with 25 local vendors will offer a huge variety of plant-based foods from around the globe, including Stone Monkey, Falafel Heights, Sabor Piri Piri, Krishna’s Kitchen, Maribel y Oliva Cocina, Underdog, Nomad Eats, Reda’s Ethiopian Cuisine, SeaCo Catch and Vegan Mirai Sushi. A wide selection of beverages, desserts and pre-packaged snacks, dips and condiments will also be available to purchase.

Additionally, attendees can shop from a large selection of sustainable products and services, including apparel, jewelry, beauty and wellness products, dog treats and home goods.

San Diego EarthFest is proud to be a zero-waste event and is partnering with Sustainability is Sexy to implement onsite waste diversion and recycling management.

Balboa Park is the previous site of EarthFair, once the world’s largest Earth Day festival, which drew over 60,000 attendees in 2019 and ended in 2022.

“We are so excited to continue the tradition of celebrating Earth Day at Balboa Park,” said Michelle May, Director of Events for San Diego EarthFest. “This event offers a unique opportunity to connect with eco-friendly local businesses and organizations while celebrating our beautiful planet and learning how to better protect it, so that every day we can choose to live more sustainably.”

According to EARTHDAY.ORG, more than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day events each year since the first Earth Day observation in 1970, making it the largest civic observance in the world.
