The Downtown Business Association of Escondido (DBA of Escondido) is proud to host Art in the Garden, returning Sunday, Oct. 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Art in the Garden is a juried art show within The Grand Avenue Fall Festival, bringing many talented Southern California artists to Heritage Garden Park – on the northeast corner of Juniper Street and Grand Avenue – to show and sell their work. Festival goers can shop directly from the artists, hear about their inspiration and learn how their art is created.

“Art in the Garden is a neighborhood favorite,” said Carol Rogers, board member for the Downtown Business Association of Escondido. “This event offers a little something for everyone, and guests can see all the amazing art that’s being created in Escondido, while also enjoying the festival, food, music and entertainment.”

DBA of Escondido – and MAGEC, Museums & Arts: Growing Escondido Culture – will share a booth at Art in the Garden to share more about the many art projects that are taking place throughout hidden city. Escondido’s thriving museums and arts community collaborate within this informal (Magec) group with the purpose of growing and developing the businesses of its participants by promoting Escondido’s vibrant Arts, Heritage and Educational Culture. For a list of current art projects, see below.

During the Festival, Grand Avenue art galleries will be open and offer special activities. There will also be a variety of free hands-on art activities.

Art in the Garden and the monthly Second Saturday Art Walk are both organized by the DBA of Escondido, and both events are free and open to all for the whole family.
