Dogtopia San Marcos will play host to a huge North County adoption event and fundraiser – Saturday, March 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – for the San Diego Humane Society (SDHS).
Located at 925 W. San Marcos Blvd. (92078), the Humane Society will have their cutest and best behaved adoptables on-site ready for adoption. The society’s volunteer team will share doggie profiles, qualities and personalities of each of the available dogs.
Additionally, families can get involved by making donations, or washing their own pooches in the self-wash outdoor tubs. Half of the proceeds of the $15 do-it-yourself wash will go to the SDHS. And, if donors would like to leave it to the experts, they can have their pups’ nails trimmed or ear cleaning for $10, or teeth brushed or Pawdicures for $15, by Dogtopia’s spa groomers, also with half of the proceeds going to the SDHS.
The neighborhood is getting involved as well, as the Back Alley Grill (restaurant located behind the doggie daycare) will have a “Yappy Hour” deal from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., which will be offering adoption specials throughout the event.
Paws4Shots, a local mobile veterinary, will be on-site, offering affordable, preventative veterinary care, such as vaccines and services for dogs and cats.
Donation bins will also be available for dog food, treat and toy donations. Adoption baskets will also be provided to all adoptable dogs, which will include a Dogtopia gift certificate for daycare, 10% off first grooming service, plus toys and snacks.
