Children’s Museum of Discovery is thrilled to host its 9th annual Space Night on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m.

This after-hours event, presented by Thermo Fisher Scientific, provides families with the opportunity to participate in hands-on science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and math (STREAM) activities. Through the theme of space exploration, children ages 4-10 are offered early exposure to STREAM education.

Through interactive activities, children will learn about mars rover robots with the Grant Imahara Foundation, planispheres and constellations, water filtration with Escondido Environmental Services, and more! Plus, families can enjoy a glow in the dark space jam dance party. With a variety of activity booths, both children and parents will leave with a newfound knowledge and passion for all things space.

The Museum’s STREAM programs and events are an introduction to science and engineering for many families, especially those who are economically disadvantaged and may not have access to these hands-on programs.

“At the Museum, we pride ourselves in creating authentic hands-on learning experiences that spark a love of learning. Through events such as Space Night, we’re providing families with opportunities to build foundational skills in STEM education while feeding a natural wonder about all things from gravity to galaxies! We are so grateful to all the community partners who will be sharing their related expertise on the day,” said Christina Piranio, CEO of the Children’s Museum of Discovery.

Pre-registration is required for this event. Tickets are $12 for members and $17 for non-members. Special discounts are available for military and veteran families.
