Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego Facilitated $2 Billion in Grants

The Jewish Community Foundation San Diego (JCF) reaches
$2 billion grant milestone. The local non-profit has facilitated more than $2 billion in grants since it began in 1967.

The Jewish Community Foundation San Diego has historically been one of the largest philanthropic funders and a leader in charitable giving in San Diego. Thanks to the nearly one thousand Donor Advised Fund Advisors, JCF has facilitated over 135,000 grants to more than 9,000 nonprofits, locally, nationally, and abroad.

The Foundation promotes philanthropy by helping donors achieve their charitable goals and connecting them with local, national, and international charitable organizations. Funding has been directed through a broad range of giving areas including, but not limited to: Arts and Culture, Education (including scholarships), Social Services (including homelessness), Children, and Health and Human Services. Most of these grants have been allocated to the San Diego community, although substantial support has also been provided for organizations and communities in Israel.

“The multiple generations of donors that have been a part of JCF for the past 57 years have demonstrated their commitment to the community by partnering with us for their generous philanthropy,” said Jeremy Pearl, J.D., LL.M., President and CEO, Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego, and holder of the Miriam and Jerome Katzin Presidential Chair.

Whether donors are contributing $100 or $1 million, JCF combines concierge services with deep community knowledge to help maximize the impact of their generosity.
