San Diego motor sports fans are revved up for the ultimate dirt-flying action this January, as Monster Jam® returns to San Diego, playing for the first time ever in the historic downtown San Diego area at Petco Park, the home of the San Diego Padres, for two action-packed weekend events, Saturday, Jan. 17 and Saturday, Jan. 31.
One of the most popular touring family entertainment sporting events in the world, Monster Jam is a high-flying, car-crushing explosive event of demolition, speed, power and unbelievable stunts with the world’s best monster trucks and drivers whose skills provide an awesome spectacle of “rock-and-roar” that will bring fans to their feet cheering for more!
Fans will witness the world’s best monster trucks battle it out in the ultimate event of intense speed, racing and destruction with twenty-four massive trucks as part of the car-crushin’ action, including World Finals champion powerhouses Grave Digger®, El Toro Loco®, Captain’s Curse® and Metal Mulisha; plus the San Diego debut truck appearances of FOX Sports 1™ Cleatus, Scooby-Doo™, Dragon, Doomsday; Monster Mutt® Rottweiler; War Wagon and Incinerator. As a special highlight, the Saturday, Jan. 31 event will host the return appearance (after 7-year hiatus from San Diego) of four-time World Finals Champion and Grave Digger Icon Dennis Anderson!
In addition to the world-class racing and freestyle competition action, die-hard fans can come to the stadium early both Saturdays to enjoy the Party in the Pits pre-show experience (located in the Lexus Lot – which gives fans unparalleled access to view their favorite trucks up-close, meet the star drivers for autographs and take photos!
