**The Alpine sanctuary – with over 140 exotic & domesticated animals – launches adoption program**
Calling all animal lovers! The Children’s Nature Retreat, a 20-acre animal sanctuary in Alpine, creates symbolic animal adoptions, just in time for Valentines. San Diegans can dedicate their love to their favorite animals at the Retreat.
New this year, the 20-acre animal sanctuary launches an animal adoption program to connect animals with their biggest fans, all while also helping to fund additional needs of the Retreat. Adopters will gain specialized access to information about the animal’s personality, background, and favorite treats, making this a truly unique gift for Valentine’s Day and beyond!
There are five levels of support (see below). All animals at the sanctuary are available for a one-year adoption. The sponsorship levels vary from bonding with an animal online to a hands-on experience in-person, following safe COVID-19 protocols.
The levels of support are:
- For $50, become a Keeper and receive an adoption certificate, animal fact sheet, and animal photo
- For $100, become a Lead Keeper with recognition on the Retreat website and an animal plush (as well as the Keeper benefits)
- For $250, become a Senior Keeper with an exclusive invite to a future “Parent Event” (as well as the Keeper and Lead Keeper benefits)
- For $500, become an Associate Curator with two tickets to the Retreat (as well as the Keeper, Lead Keeper and Senior Keeper benefits)
- For $1,000, become a Curator with four (4) tickets to the Retreat and a personal encounter with your animal (as well as the Keeper, Lead Keeper, Senior Keeper and Associate Curator benefits)
The Retreat can also customize adoption packages for levels exceeding $1,000. Contact the ADOPT advisor at (619) 320-4942 or [email protected].
Adopted animals will stay in the safe hands of the Retreat’s animal experts, tending to their needs at all times. These experts bring knowledge, experience, and passion in caring for all animals living at the Retreat. These symbolic adoptions will help provide additional support and care for the animals.
