Amalfi Cucina Italiana expands its popular North County restaurant to Oceanside, located at 221 N. Cleveland Street (92054).

Amalfi Cucina Italiana is from the masterminds of Emiliano Muslija, founder and manager, alongside Executive Chef Marcello Avitabile and Pizza Chef Joseph Serra. The trio has found the secret sauce between their combined experience of wine, food, and restaurant management. Chef Marcello and Pizza Chef Serra have also won multiple awards for their pizza, including “Best Pizza” from San Diego Magazine. The threesome prides itself on their seasoned palette for wine and food pairings and are happy to make any recommendations.

“We are thrilled to join the Oceanside community, bringing our craft-made pastas and creative weekly chef specials and authentic Italian plates to the palates of the Oceanside community,” said Muslija.

Amalfi Cucina Italiana is known for its imported mozzarella, variety of bruschettas, farm-to-table salads and housemade pizzas and pastas with imported semolina flour and premium ingredients.

This is currently phase I of the 2,300-square feet north coastal location, as the team was anxious to open for the fall and holidays, while they plan to undergo a remodel in the first part of 2025. During this time, they will be serving Roman-style pizza, until their new pizza oven is built, when they will then be serving Neapolitan-style, like their other two restaurants. Roman-style pizza is typically thinner and crispier, often baked in large rectangular trays and sold by the slice. Neapolitan-style pizza has a soft, chewy crust with a slightly charred, puffy edge, and is cooked quickly at high temperatures in a wood-fired oven.

The new location, which boasts a large dining room and adjacent patio, is open daily for lunch, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with happy hour Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. On Wednesday and Thursday evenings, they host live music from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. And, an already popular Sunday Brunch, also with live music, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Sunday brunch includes bottomless Mimosas, while wine lovers can enjoy half-off wine on Wednesdays.

The popular, authentic Italian eatery expanded to Carmel Valley a year ago, bringing its authentic coastal Italian cuisine to the Pacific Highlands Ranch area of Inland Del Mar. For more information on Amalfi Cucina Italiana, visit www.amalficucinaitaliana.com.
